project structure

Here you will find information on the six-point structure, which underpins our solar energy projects. As the retail banks are providing 80-90% of the project capital they insist on a high level of due diligence. This process is rigourous and must be complete before the banks will offer project finance.

The structure

1. The German bank

The Bank itself is the keystone of the project structure, which allows the following competencies to be brought together ...

2. Manufacturers

The modules will have a 25 year warranty on output.

The manufacturers offer a 90% warranty for the output for the first 10 years and an 80% warranty for the latter 15 years. All modules must be certified to ISO and TUI specifications and the panels must be on the bank's preferred supplier list.

3. Engineers

Prior to installation the bank requires an external engineer's report on:

UV rating for cost analysis.
Structural compliance reports and Local authority registration.
All engineers must be certified and on the bank's preferred supplier list.

4. Tenancy agreement

Twenty years fixed tenancy agreement is required by the bank with a further 10 year option. The agreements must allow for reinstallation of new technology when more efficient panels become available on future years.

5. Insurance

All projects are fully insured for all risks, up to 6 months loss of income and public liability.

6. Maintenance

The maintenance contract will be a fixed term contract. The Maintenance companies must be accredited and on the bank’s preferred supplier list. The contract will cover:

Monitoring of the PV installation via remote monitoring system. Security cameras will be fixed to the installation for long distance visual monitoring.
Regular cleaning of both the modules and the panels.
Security, and early detection of any faults or breakages.
